This category of my artistic output has some elements of figurative art and also some abstract notes. Many of these pieces are experimental and sometimes become a more concentrated series such as with my “red Cloaks” project. Others have Asian and Eastern influences embedded in the figures, landscapes and objects.
I also like to use the idea of “deliberate accidents” to help define the design of some paintings. Random and seemingly unintentional “chance” markings made while staining or preparing the canvas can become the compositional template for the piece - whether they suggest faces, figures, landscapes or other objects.
Some of the paintings have been painted in different orientations so that a different perspective is gained each time they are viewed.
