ASEMIC ABSTRACTS

My asemic abstract paintings are created working with both hands simultaneously - left & right brain engaged. The mark-making is laid down following an unseen pattern until it becomes its own unique representation of sigils and symbols - subconscious images are unearthed.

The inner creative energy comes into tangible and tactile substance on the canvas - a conduit to the “collective unconscious”.
 

The asemic works leave the viewer to decide how to translate and explore the artwork. In this sense the viewer becomes co-creator of the painting whose meaning can evolve over time.
