"Baiting the Lines", Oil on canvas 30 x 24 inches.
Situated at the small harbour at Seacliff in East Lothian with a view to Tantallon castle in the background. This was one of the key tasks before fishing. Putting a mussel on each hook. It was often the women and children who had to source the mussels from the shoreline and bait each hook on long lines to be dragged behind the boats.
The painting is 30 x 24 inches and is supplied ready for framing mounted on stretcher bars.
