ABSTRACT STORIES

My abstract stories are influenced from both without and within. The natural world and the spiritual realm.

In a state of “mu-shin” the state of “no-mind” in which thought, emotions and expectations do not matter. The inner creative energy comes into tangible and tactile substance on the canvas - a conduit to the “collective unconscious”.

Working with both hands simultaneously - left & right brain engaged. The mark-making is laid down following an unseen pattern until it becomes its own unique artwork. 

These abstract stories leave the viewer to decide how to translate and explore the artwork. In this sense the viewer becomes co-creator of the painting whose meaning can evolve over time.
