Female Figure
Female Figure Paintings
This series of paintings is based on the female figure.
Burlesque Paintings
This is a series of paintings inspired by the Ziegfeld Follies era and the vintage burlesque girls. In this gallery you can find a painting of Marie Stevens, a member of the Ziegfeld Follies in 1931. There are couple of paintings of Lili St. Cyr a vintage burlesque performer and one of Zelda St. Wilde and Scarlet the Harlot who are part of a current burlesque act called the Glitter Kittens.
Dante Series
This series of paintings is based on Dante’s book the Divine Comedy. The story starts at the beginning of Dante’s journey. In the first canto he spends a fearful night in the the forest. At daybreak he heads towards the sun rising on a mount in the distance and is confronted at first by a leopard, representing lust which pushes him back. Next he is confronted by a lion, representing pride and finally by a she-wolf representing avarice. The she-wolf of avarice is impassable and at that point his guide Virgil arrives to show him another way. Virgil then guides him through the various levels of hell. This is a further series of paintings I will be working on in the coming months….
