This is the latest progress on “The Waverley Novels”. It’s oil on canvas, 30 x 20 inches and is about 75% complete. This is one of the paintings in my new series – “Aspects of Edinburgh“.  – Work in Progress.

This painting will be part of my next exhibition at the Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh which will run from Saturday 22nd March to Saturday 29th March 2014.

This is the latest progress on “The Letter”, it’s oil on canvas, 40 x 30 inches and is about halfway to completion. This is one of the paintings in my new series – “Aspects of Edinburgh“. – Work in Progress.

A time shift into the past for this piece. A war time 1940’s feel. The background is a view to the Forth Rail Bridge from South Queensferry. The first German air attack of the 2nd World War took place over the FRB when German bombers came to destroy ships at the Rosyth Naval Dockyard. Spitfires from Turnhouse were scrambled and drove off the bombers, shooting down two of them. You can find a potted history of the bridge here;

This is the latest progress on “Thistles”. It’s oil on canvas, 28 x 22 inches and is about halfway to completion. This is one of the paintings in my new series – “Aspects of Edinburgh“.  – Work in Progress.

This painting will be part of my next exhibition at the Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh which will run from Saturday 22nd March to Saturday 29th March 2014.
