“Herring Lassie at Newhaven Harbour” – Oil on linen, 28 x 22 inches. This is the sixth completed painting of my “Herring Lassies” series. The painting will be part of my forthcoming exhibition at the Dundas Street Gallery in Edinburgh. The exhibition is called “The Herring Lassies” and will be on from Saturday 10th March until Saturday 17th March 2012. I’m delighted to say that Irene Watt will be playing at the opening night of my Herring Lassies exhibition. Irene is a Singer and Harpist who has a catalogue of Herring Lassie songs. Her mother and her grandmother were both Herring Lassies. I saw Irene on the “One Show” on BBC1 talking about the Herring Lassies songs and I am really looking forward to see her playing in the gallery on the opening night of the exhibition (Saturday 10th March 2012).

“Zeigfeld Girl” has just been sold at the Ship on the Shore exhibition and shipped down to new owner in London by Chequers Art Transportation.

There are 6 paintings on show and for sale at the Ship, including one of the Herring Lassie paintings which will be part of my forthcoming exhibition at the Dundas Street Gaallery.
